As China is one of the earliest birthplaces of human civilization, Chinese characters are some of the most ancient characters in the world. That's the reason why China built its first Museum of Chinese Characters in Anyang City.
With the theme of Chinese characters, this museum aims to protect China's traditional cultural heritage and make enough room for protection and cultural research of ancient Chinese civilization.
Situated in Hualien County, the Hualien Ocean Park is only 10 kilometers away from Hualien City. Zhejiang Art Museum with a coverage of 35000 square meters and floorage of 32000 square meters. In the museum, there are 14 exhibition halls of different sizes, taking up 9000 square meters, including 6 exhibition halls with constant temperature and humidity; the storehouse area takes up 3000 square meters. Besides, the museum is equipped with multiple supporting facilities such as the Central Hall, Skylight Promenade, International Academic Reporting Hall, Multi-functional Hall, Hall for Assessment and Appreciation, VIP Room as well as Center for Art Books and Documentations, Children’s Fine Arts World, Arts Bookstore, Store of Arts Materials and Supplies, and Coffee Bar. The museum, on behalf of the nation, is dedicated to the exhibition, display, solicitation, and collection of art works and art literature, with which it aims to provide and present academic research, education promotion, international exchanges and public cultural services.
